Compression molding is the best manufacture way to produce soft plastic prototypes and low volume production.
Compression molding is a very ideal manufacture processing for soft plastic manufacturing especially soft plastic prototypes and short run production, it is a very simple mold with bottom and top steel mold, the mold can be machining out by CNC machining or EDM(Electric Discharge Machining). It is very wide use for soft plastic parts such as silicone parts, rubber parts, TPU/TPE parts.
Since compression molding is very simple, cost is lower compare to injection molding, lead time are also faster than rapid tooling, the finish of the parts are as good as production by injection molding, there is no shrinkage make by compression molding, no need to confirm T1 samples, will make production directly.
Color also can be customized by provide Pantone number or Ral number, and will confirm color during prepare material.
